When it comes to the hot hatchback segment, we here at Jim Peach Motors Inc are of the mind that there's Ford's -- the 2017 Focus RS -- and then there's, well ... everything else. It is wholly in a league of its own.

And what makes us say that, you ask?

AutoGuide.com Road Test Editor Dan Ilika is here to explain; tag along with him in the video review below:

Though its pint-sized proportions may suggest otherwise, make no mistake: the Focus RS's turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine is about as big and bad as it gets.

Joining with a six-speed manual gearbox and standard all-wheel drive, the four-cylinder produces a very potent 350 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque.

And it's certainly no slouch on the 0-to-60 mph circuit, either, as the Focus RS can make the magic happen in just 4.7 seconds.

For more information about this dapper dynamo, or to take the wheel of one, we invite you to swing by our Brewton, AL showroom. Our seasoned staff is available to address your every question regarding the Focus RS, or any other Ford model throughout the current fleet.
