Ford has added the off-road-focused Rattler to the F-150 lineup for the latest model year. Every Ford F-150 comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a hybrid powertrain is offered for the first time, creating an impressive 400 horsepower. Ford says the hybrid model will give you up to 700 miles of driving range on a single tank of gas and it can also power an onboard generator to keep power flowing at your job site.
Towing and payload capacity
The Ford F-150 with the 3.3-liter V6 can tow a maximum of 8,200 pounds. If you want the best towing capability that money can buy in a half-ton truck, you can get the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 with 400 horsepower and watch it tow as much as 14,000 pounds. That's the best towing capability in the F-150’s full-size pickup class. Payload capacity ranges from 1,840 pounds to 3,250 pounds.
